Transformer Pad Update

I have been playing around with my Asus Transformer Pad T300 for little over a month now, and I still like it a lot. I really like how I can connect to my PC Desktop and remotely control my PC free. I thought that I would have to buy an app called PocketCloud but since my Transformer comes with an app that does it for me for free, I don't have to worry. Plus I really did not like PocketCloud anyways. So far the speed of the Transformer has been really fast... even using high performance apps are no problem. I had one bug on my transformer pad but ASUS patched the bug the day after I posted it on my blog. So it seems that ASUS will be on top of patching bugs.

I also really like the Cloud features that allow me not only store data on an online "drive" but also back up my app data. At first I only had 2GB but I saw a promotion for MyBitCast App, where if I downloaded the app and used it I would get more storage for free. I ended up with 9GB! So between Asus Webstorage, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box, I have about 15GB of storage.... And to top it all off it is really good that I will be able to upgrade from Ice Cream Sandwich to JellyBean. It looks like it's just a matter of when (week, month, year?) not if. Hopefully the upgrade is not just a bunch of hype or a way to lock down the OS like Apple does on many of its updates to their iOS.

So far I have only found one Negative but it has nothing to do with ASUS but rather Google, Google Play Store to be specific. What a piece of garbage Google Play is turning out to be. All I have to say is watch out what you download because Google keeps records of every app you install and there is NO way to deleting the history of unwanted apps, even if you downloaded, installed, then deleted after finding out the app is junk. On top of that I also cannot delete old devices (ie devices that I either sold/stopped working/no longer use). I just hope Google is not going to use this "history" to then suggest that you download paid apps, because you will get a lot of useless app suggestions from all those junk apps that you have in your "history". If this happens without a way to delete junk apps from your history I will probably turn away from Android and go with Apple... also will wipe my Transformer's Android OS and install Debian. On top of that I will close all my Google accounts (Gmail, Drive, Play, etc) We will just have to wait and see what happens.
