Had to go back to my stock launcher because ADWLauncher was causing problems, crashing apps, slowing the tablet down. So I will just have to wait till Go Launcher HD gets themes before I use it.
I installed ADW Launcher on my Transformer Pad and added some customization to it. (I chose ADW Launcher only because Go Launcher HD does not have any transitions or the ability to use themes) I chose Suave adw/lp Theme and used some custom icons from findicons.com

Watch "Run Ubuntu on your Android Tablet" on YouTube
I might try this if I get fed up with Google Play and want to remove Android... too bad it will not wipe my Android :(

I have been playing around with my Asus Transformer Pad T300 for little over a month now, and I still like it a lot. I really like how I can connect to my PC Desktop and remotely control my PC free. I thought that I would have to buy an app called PocketCloud but since my Transformer comes with an app that does it for me for free, I don't have to worry. Plus I really did not like PocketCloud anyways. So far the speed of the Transformer has been really fast... even using high performance apps are no problem. I had one bug on my transformer pad but ASUS patched the bug the day after I posted it on my blog. So it seems that ASUS will be on top of patching bugs.
I also really like the Cloud features that allow me not only store data on an online "drive" but also back up my app data. At first I only had 2GB but I saw a promotion for MyBitCast App, where if I downloaded the app and used it I would get more storage for free. I ended up with 9GB! So between Asus Webstorage, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box, I have about 15GB of storage.... And to top it all off it is really good that I will be able to upgrade from Ice Cream Sandwich to JellyBean. It looks like it's just a matter of when (week, month, year?) not if. Hopefully the upgrade is not just a bunch of hype or a way to lock down the OS like Apple does on many of its updates to their iOS.
So far I have only found one Negative but it has nothing to do with ASUS but rather Google, Google Play Store to be specific. What a piece of garbage Google Play is turning out to be. All I have to say is watch out what you download because Google keeps records of every app you install and there is NO way to deleting the history of unwanted apps, even if you downloaded, installed, then deleted after finding out the app is junk. On top of that I also cannot delete old devices (ie devices that I either sold/stopped working/no longer use). I just hope Google is not going to use this "history" to then suggest that you download paid apps, because you will get a lot of useless app suggestions from all those junk apps that you have in your "history". If this happens without a way to delete junk apps from your history I will probably turn away from Android and go with Apple... also will wipe my Transformer's Android OS and install Debian. On top of that I will close all my Google accounts (Gmail, Drive, Play, etc) We will just have to wait and see what happens.
What a dark day in US history! I still do not understand how ObamaCare could pass. This now gives the government power to control our lives through healthcare. First, they will force everyone to buy healthcare or be on Medicare; but they will say that you can opt out of the insurance now because of an election year. IF Obama gets back in (which I really doubt), you will see that part of the law magically disappear. How? Because they will say if you cannot afford to buy healthcare you can (and will) go on Medicare or be taxed (fined). Second, this bill forces Religious organizations to buy a healthcare plan that requires the plan to provide abortion, and birthcontrol under the preventitive care part of the bill. This goes against their teachings and they will either have to buy the healthcare or be fined. Again they say that you can opt out of it because of religious reasons but who will risk not being able to have ANY healthcare and have to pay for EVERYTHING themselves? Under this Law All new healthcare plans must have the preventitive care and by 2018 ALL plans must have preventitive care.So either buy a plan that has preventitive care (including abortions and birthcontrol) or go without any healthcare, this seems like a fine to me. Don't get me wrong there are parts of the bill that I do like:
Insurers can't just drop customers once they get sick
Insurers have to tell customers what they're spending money on. (Instead of just "administrative fee", they have to be more specific)
No more "pre-existing conditions"
Now the next question since the "Mandate" passed under a tax law how far can they take it under the name of healthcare? What will stop them from saying:
If you are over-weight you will either have to loose the weight or be taxed
If you buy/eat too much unhealthy foods you will be taxed
If a restaurants has too much unhealthy foods they will be taxed
If you don't exercise enough you will be taxed
Think that this cannot or will not happen? In NYC they passed a code that says that a restaurant, store, or sporting venue cannot sell soda drinks bigger then 16 Oz. All in the name of fighting Obesity, and the Obamas said that it is a good idea that other cities should adopt. Now I know that right now the mandate and religious issues may not seem like a big deal as overall freedom is concerned; but just remember when the government takes away one freedom they will not stop until they have taken away all your freedoms. This is why we have checks and balances, why it is the PEOPLE who have the POWER not the government! If we sit back and watch this freedom taken away we will see more taken away, this is why we must repeal ObamaCare and keep the Government's power limited. If not we will go from a Republic to a Dictatorship.
I have just found a bug on my Transformer Pad T300 that I find a little frustrating. When I plug in my tablet to be charged (tablet plus keyboard) when I go to use it after it is done charging; the clock on the bottom is set to the wrong time, when I notification tab the clock there has a different time but still wrong, and when I go to my clock app it has the right time... Not sure what is causing this error.

I have been playing with my New Transformer Pad for a little while now. I love this tablet and it was well worth the wait. It is fast, the screen is great, and the battery life is really great! I can use the tablet for about 10 hours straight full performance. However I do have some issues with the tablet. When I have the keyboard plugged in and I shut it close then reopen the tablet it does not auto startup. Also the trackpad sometimes clicks when typing while activated and the only way to avoid this is the disable the trackpad. It would be better to be able to disable trackpad clicking. Not really sure why they have a trackpad on the keyboard anyways. I think tapping on the touch screen is faster and better then using a trackpad. Overall the tablet is great and I am happy with it.
Let me start off by saying I am not for piracy, I am not for censorship. Do I think MegaUpload should have been shut down? Maybe. Only if they did nothing to stop the illegal uploads... but then again it's impossible to stop everything. Do I think the US Government should have shut the site down? Not at all. Why? Because the Government did not shut it down because of Piracy... they did it to show their power, SOPA. If SOPA would have passed MegaUpload would have been the example why SOPA was good, but since it did not pass they used MegaUpload as a way to show everyone that if they do manage to get SOPA to pass that they would use it to shut down Piracy not censor the web. Think about it, if they wanted to shut it down for piracy they would have done it long ago. MegaUpload was known for it's illegal upload and free download of copywritten stuff for years.
This is nothing more then a scare tactic, like the music industry tried to do. I remember back in the late 90's early 2000's when the music industry was suing people for illegally downloading songs. Why did they stop? Because it did not work. This is the same thing, this is the government using it's big stick to try to scare people into stop pirating. The problem is that it won't work... people will always pirate and will just get smarter on how they do it.
So what's next? I think the next target will be peer to peer file sharing sites and or torrent sites. They will start with the biggest ones and work their way down shutting them all down. Then if the people do nothing, SOPA will come back, maybe under a new name. And if we do nothing it will pass and the internet as we know it will be gone forever! Sites like google, facebook, twitter, so on and so on will be shut down to censor the people for "their own good". And that will start the dark age in the internet.
I've been waiting a while now to get my transformer prime and I cannot help to wonder what Asus is thinking. I think the stunt that they have done is a great one but it does have some flaws. I think making the product have such media attention is great to get the word out and using a popular thing as Transformer was a great pick. And in the meantime having reviewers who got the Transformer Prime early, be the guinea pigs and point out the flaws then make the improvements, was also a great move. However, making people wait so long over a court battle in which they will lose is pointless... they have the hype, they made the improvements, why not just rename it and send it out now before things like iPad3 and other tablets come out with simular specs? I now am still debating if I will still wait for the Prime or get something else... like a Acer Inconia A500?
